Saudi national address

What is the Saudi national address, and which parts do invoices and contracts need?

GlossaryUpdated 10 October 2026

Definition

The Saudi national address is the official structured address system run by Saudi Post (SPL), which identifies each building in the Kingdom by building number, street, district, city, postal code and additional number.

What is the Saudi national address used for?

The national address is a regional term: it applies to businesses and buildings in Saudi Arabia, where it’s the standard address for registrations, contracts, invoices and deliveries. Each address also has a short address of four letters and four digits.

Example (fictional): building 1234, King Fahd Road, Al Olaya district, Riyadh, postal code 12345, additional number 5678, short address ABCD1234.

Common mistakes are mixing up the building number with the additional (secondary) number and squeezing the whole address into one free-text line, which makes it hard to validate or print correctly. Saudi records usually sit alongside the commercial registration number.
