# ZATCA e-invoicing software, built into your ERP

Phase 1 and Phase 2 for your Saudi company, from the invoices you raise for delivered goods, with your CR, VAT number and national address already on file.

## In short

1flux is ZATCA e-invoicing software built into the ERP that runs your quotations, orders, stock and books. 1flux issues ZATCA-compliant e-invoices for Saudi Arabia, covering Phase 1 (generation) and Phase 2 (integration with ZATCA's Fatoora platform). Each e-invoice starts from a sales invoice raised for delivered goods, which posts the receivable, revenue and 15% output VAT automatically. Your Saudi company's CR, VAT number, unified number and national address sit on its profile.

## How 1flux works as ZATCA e-invoicing software

1flux issues ZATCA-compliant e-invoices for Saudi Arabia, covering Phase 1 (generation) and Phase 2 (integration with ZATCA’s Fatoora platform).

You don’t run a second system for compliance. The sales invoice your finance team posts in 1flux is the invoice e-invoicing works from, so the figures on the e-invoice, in the ledger and in your receivables are the same figures.

E-invoicing is one step in the flow from the customer’s PO to the payment: quotation, [sales order](https://1flux.ai/products/sales-orders), delivery note, sales invoice, e-invoice, customer payment. Every step hands its lines to the next, and every posting step writes its own journal.

1. Sales order (SO-2026-0042) . Nothing posts.
2. Delivery note . Posts Dr COGS , Cr Inventory.
3. Sales invoice . Posts Dr AR , Cr Revenue, VAT.
4. Customer payment . Posts Dr Bank , Cr AR.

Invoices come from the same sales flow that posts the ledger, so nothing is re-keyed.

The two phases

## Phase 1 and Phase 2 in one system

ZATCA's e-invoicing rules apply in two phases. 1flux covers both, so your Saudi company uses the same invoicing flow before and after its integration date.

Since 4 December 2021

### Phase 1: generation

- Applies to every VAT-registered business resident in Saudi Arabia.
- Tax invoices and notes are generated and stored electronically, in the form ZATCA requires.
- A paper invoice that’s scanned or copied into electronic form doesn’t count.

In waves since 1 January 2023

### Phase 2: integration

- Businesses connect their invoicing to ZATCA’s Fatoora platform, wave by wave.
- ZATCA picks each wave by VAT-subject revenue and gives at least six months’ notice.
- Wave 25 covers revenue above SAR 187,500 in any year from 2022 to 2025, and integrates by 1 February 2027.

Wave 24 (revenue above SAR 375,000 in 2022, 2023 or 2024) had to integrate by 30 June 2026. For who’s in scope and what each phase requires, read our guide to [ZATCA e-invoicing Phase 2](https://1flux.ai/guides/zatca-e-invoicing).

Legal entity

## Your Saudi company's numbers, on its profile

When you create a Saudi [legal entity](https://1flux.ai/glossary/legal-entity) in 1flux, its country pack sets the currency to SAR, seeds the Saudi VAT codes and asks for the registrations Saudi documents carry:

- [commercial registration (CR)](https://1flux.ai/glossary/commercial-registration), VAT number and unified number;
- Arabic legal name and Arabic address;
- the company’s own Saudi National Address;
- logo, signatory and default bank details with IBAN and SWIFT.

Issued quotations freeze these details at the moment they’re issued, so a later change to the profile never rewrites a document a customer already holds.

A Saudi entity's registrations and the issuer block its quotations print.

2. Commercial registration (CR): 1010000001.
3. Unified national number: 7000000001.
4. VAT registration number: 300000000000003.
5. Zakat certificate number: 000001.
6. Document readiness: 100%. The quotation issuer preview prints: Commercial Registration (CR) 1010000001; VAT registration number 300000000000003; 1234 King Fahd Road, Al Olaya, Riyadh, Additional no. 5678, Saudi Arabia.

National address

## The Saudi National Address, structured and validated

1flux stores customer and supplier addresses as a structured [Saudi National Address](https://1flux.ai/glossary/saudi-national-address), with Arabic twin fields for the street, district, city and address line.

| Field | Rule 1flux checks |
| ---------------- | --------------------------------------- |
| Building number | Exactly 4 digits |
| Secondary number | Exactly 4 digits |
| Postal code | 5 digits |
| Short address | 4 letters and 4 digits, like `REMA6598` |

1flux checks each format before the address is saved.

The **Paste national address** helper fills the fields from a single pasted line, and company imports carry national address columns and validate them too.

VAT

## VAT at 15%, applied line by line

1flux seeds Saudi [VAT](https://1flux.ai/glossary/vat) codes when you create the entity: **Input VAT 15%**, **Output VAT 15%** and **Zero-rated**. They apply per line with dated rates, so earlier documents keep the rate they were issued at.

- Each item carries its own inward and outward tax code.
- Quotations, sales orders, invoices and purchase orders calculate VAT per line.
- Sales invoices post output VAT and purchase invoices post input VAT, each to its own account.

1flux prepares your Saudi VAT return from the input and output VAT already posted, from the same invoices as your e-invoices.

Saudi VAT codes arrive with the entity. Rates are dated, so old documents keep their rate.

2. VAT15-OUT: Output VAT 15%, outward, 15%, the default for its direction.
3. VAT15-IN: Input VAT 15%, inward, 15%, the default for its direction.
4. ZERO: Zero-rated, outward, 0%.
5. Each code keeps its rate history. "Add effective rate" closes the previous rate on a date.

Invoicing

## Invoices built from delivered goods, posted automatically

In 1flux, a Saudi sales invoice starts from what actually left the warehouse:

1. **Delivery note:** the warehouse dispatches in full or in part, recording the vehicle and driver. Stock goes down and cost of goods sold posts.
2. **Sales invoice:** finance invoices the delivered quantities, with partial invoicing and VAT per line at the invoice-date rate. The receivable, revenue and output VAT post automatically.
3. **E-invoice:** the same invoice is issued as a ZATCA-compliant e-invoice.
4. **Customer payment:** one payment can settle several invoices, and the receivable clears.

Follow the whole journey in our [quote-to-cash guide](https://1flux.ai/guides/quote-to-cash).

1. Sales order (SO-2026-0042) . Nothing posts.
2. Delivery note . Posts Dr COGS , Cr Inventory.
3. Sales invoice: Posted, unpaid . Posts Dr AR , Cr Revenue, VAT.
4. Customer payment . Posts Dr Bank , Cr AR.

The invoice posts the receivable as it is raised; the payment clears it.

Arabic-ready

## Arabic data, from customers to quotations

1flux handles Arabic data throughout. Company, contact, supplier and item names display correctly with an Arabic font, items can carry Arabic names, and item search understands Arabic spelling variants.

Quotation PDFs shape and order Arabic text correctly with an embedded Arabic font, and you can design Arabic and English quotation layouts in the document designer. CSV exports open in Excel with Arabic intact.

Several companies

## Run your Saudi and UAE companies side by side

A Saudi company and a UAE company sit in one 1flux workspace, each with its own currency, registrations, letterhead, numbering, warehouses and books. The entity switcher shows where you are, for example **SA · SAR**.

E-invoicing follows the entity, so your Saudi company’s invoices are handled for ZATCA. Read more about [running several companies in 1flux](https://1flux.ai/platform/multi-entity).

[UAE e-invoicing in 1flux](https://1flux.ai/products/e-invoicing/uae)

Switch legal entity from the top bar. Currency, figures and the books follow; nothing mixes.

FAQ

## Questions, answered

Still deciding? [Talk to sales](https://1flux.ai/contact)

### Does 1flux support ZATCA Phase 1 and Phase 2?

Yes. 1flux issues ZATCA-compliant e-invoices for Saudi Arabia, covering Phase 1 (generation) and Phase 2 (integration with ZATCA's Fatoora platform). E-invoicing is part of the sales flow in 1flux, so the invoice your finance team posts is the one e-invoicing works from, and nothing is re-keyed into a separate system.

### Are e-invoices created from delivered goods?

Yes. In 1flux, finance raises a sales invoice from the quantities on the delivery notes, with partial invoicing when an order ships in parts. Services can be invoiced without a delivery. Each invoice posts the receivable, revenue and output VAT, and the e-invoice comes from that same invoice, so the e-invoice, the ledger and receivables agree.

### Which Saudi registrations does 1flux keep?

1flux keeps your Saudi company's commercial registration (CR), VAT number and unified number on its legal entity profile, alongside its Arabic legal name, Arabic address and Saudi National Address. Issued quotations freeze those details at the moment they're issued, so a later change to the profile doesn't rewrite documents already sent to customers.

### Does 1flux apply Saudi VAT at 15%?

Yes. When you create a Saudi legal entity, 1flux seeds Input VAT 15%, Output VAT 15% and Zero-rated tax codes. Each item carries its own tax codes, and quotations, sales orders and invoices calculate VAT per line with dated rates. Sales invoices post output VAT and purchase invoices post input VAT, each to its own account.

### Does 1flux store the Saudi National Address?

Yes. 1flux stores customer and supplier addresses as a structured Saudi National Address: short address, building number, street, secondary number, district, unit, postal code and city, with Arabic twin fields. It checks the formats before saving, such as a 4-digit building number and a 5-digit postal code, and a paste helper fills the fields from one line.

### Does 1flux prepare the Saudi VAT return?

Yes. 1flux prepares VAT returns for the UAE and Saudi Arabia from the input and output VAT already posted. For your Saudi company, the return starts from the same sales and purchase invoices as your e-invoices and your ledger, so the quarter's output and input VAT already agree before finance begins.

### Can 1flux run a Saudi and a UAE company in one workspace?

Yes. A Saudi company and a UAE company sit in one 1flux workspace as separate legal entities, each with its own currency, registrations, letterhead, numbering, warehouses and books. E-invoicing follows the entity, so Saudi invoices are handled for ZATCA. People can be limited to the companies they work for when you invite them.

### Does 1flux handle Arabic customer and item names?

Yes. 1flux handles Arabic data throughout. Company, contact, supplier and item names display correctly with an Arabic font, items can carry Arabic names, and item search understands Arabic spelling variants. Quotation PDFs shape Arabic text correctly, and you can design Arabic and English quotation layouts in the document designer.
